In recent years, the main healthcare services of Xinyi District Health Center are focusing on the community healthcare network, E.A.T for those with dementia, and caring for foreign spouses and their children. Xinyi District has very ample medical resources and provides complete health care for underprivileged groups such as seniors living alone, stroke victims, mentally, physically and emotionally disabled including people with chronic diseases and cancer. We did consolidate varieties of resources and leaded to create a community healthcare network, thus improving the old model where each individual medical institute offered a single, discrete service.
The community health care network that integrates resources like pharmacies medical care institutes, rehabilitation centers, nursing-home care institutes and other public welfare associations, will be able to offer medical care services on its own initiatives in the early stage so that those suffering from chronic diseases will utilize nearby pharmacies to obtain medicines. In addition patients recovering from strokes can improve their conditions at rehabilitation centers in the community. We also offer a support system for those with dementia and their families which is the same as new immigrant spouses. In short the community healthcare network has become the guardian spirit of the residents of Xinyi District.
